Scoring Information

This activity is scored using the following rubric.

The response to this activity provides evidence of the student’s ability to manipulate the elements of dance to convey similar and contrasting ideas, and to incorporate the elements of dance to develop dances that interpret a variety of stimuli, while demonstrating consistent application of awareness of space, concentration, physical discipline, projection, and clarity.

It is scored using the following rubric.

  1. 3   Performance is at least 64 counts/up to 1 minute in length, and clearly/consistently:
  2. 2   Performance is approximately 64 counts/up to 1 minute in length, and generally:
  3. 1   Performance is approximately 64 counts/up to 1 minute in length, and attempts to:
  4. 0   Other (Attempts movement sequence that fails to meet criteria for a 1)

Scoring Note: The score decision should be based on the student’s performance; however, the written response should be consulted to clarify and provide support for the student’s intentions.
